Their involvement starts at inception with input into business cases through to the implementation of the project. For collaboration projects where Derbyshire is the lead force, Corporate and Strategic Finance provide all of the financial support for these projects on behalf of participating forces.
Finance and Business Services also includes the Assets department.
The focus of the Assets team is on the force’s building and vehicle assets and covers work from routine maintenance, cleaning, grounds maintenance and capital projects, together with the management and replacement of over 650 force vehicles.
There is a real determination to improve our estate where necessary but also to reduce it where possible, working with the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and other partners to ensure we have one estate fit for our policing model, providing efficiencies where possible but also best serving the public by delivering local and visible policing.
