Woman charged with drugs offences in Kilburn

Posted on 6th March 2015

A 28-year-old woman has been charged with drugs offences following a police warrant in Kilburn.

At around 5.15pm on Tuesday, March 3, officers executed a warrant at a property on Meadow Court in Kilburn, finding a quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs.

Drugs paraphernalia, mobile phones and cash were also seized during the search.

Tammy Dickinson, of 16 Meadow Court, was charged with being concerned in the control of Class A and Class B drugs. She was also charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

Dickinson appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on Wednesday, March 4 and is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court at a later date.

A/Sergeant Neil Hopwell from the Kilburn Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This was a team approach between Kilburn, Belper and Ripley Safer Neighbourhood officers, alongside the Operational Support Team and Derwent Living Housing.

“This result highlights that drugs activity will not be tolerated in our community and we will work hard to bring those responsible to justice.

“We’re encouraging local residents to report suspected drugs activity to us, as we do act on the intelligence that they provide to help crack down on this behaviour.”
