Residents in Amber Valley will be seeing a new face in their local policing teams as PCSO Chetwyn joins the ranks.
Courtney Chetwyn has joined the Heanor and Loscoe and Shipley, Smalley and Horsley Safer Neighbourhood Teams.
She completed a one year apprenticeship in the Firearms Licensing department of Derbyshire Constabulary before taking up her new role.
The lifelong Derbyshire resident said: “I am eager to meet local people and chat about their neighbourhood issues and concerns.
“Working with youngsters to tackle anti-social behaviour is one area I am interested in and I am looking forward to getting out and about to work closely with the local community in a bid to combat this.
“I am being mentored by my colleagues including PCSO Jennifer Lorimer, PCSO Emily Stanesby and PCSO Emma Fisher. It’s good to see the work we do has a positive impact on local residents and makes communities happier and safer.”
