Posted on 20th May 2015

The Chesterfield Town Centre Safer Neighbourhood Team is set host a series of police surgeries for local people.

PCSO Paul Smith from the team will be visiting stores at Ravenside Retail Park on Park Road, Chesterfield over coming weeks to chat to residents about any issues they may have.

The team will also be on hand to offer crime prevention advice to encourage residents to take extra steps to protect themselves and their property against criminals.

PCSO Smith will be visiting the following stores in June so that residents can chat over any neighbourhood concerns with the officer in a relaxed environment. This will include:

  • Costa Coffee in Next between 10am and 12noon on Monday, June 1;
  • Asda Café between 10am and 12noon on Monday, June 8;
  • Debenhams Café between 2pm and 4pm on Monday, June 15.

He said: "The surgeries are a great opportunity for residents to come and speak to their local team in a relaxed environment about any neighbourhood concerns they may have.

"We will be on hand to offer advice around increasing your security over the summer months to help protect you from becoming a victim of crime. I hope to see many of you there for a coffee and a chat."
