Residents invited to weekly police Street Meets in Chesterfield

Posted on 29th March 2019

People living in the Chesterfield area have the chance to drop in and meet their local Safer Neighbourhood policing team at weekly events in the town.

They will take place at Queen’s Park Sports Centre every Tuesday between 6.30pm and 8pm, and at Chesterfield Borough Council Customer Service Centre, on New Square, every Wednesday between 10am and 12 noon.

PCSO Tammy Careless, of the local Safer Neighbourhood policing teams in the Chesterfield area, said: “Residents are welcome to call in and meet us, and speak about any issues or concerns they may have.

“We hope that by offering a regular weekly Street Meets people will find it easier to take the opportunity to call in and see their local officers without the need to set an appointment.”

To contact your local Safer Neighbourhood policing team send them a message through the website, www.derbyshire.police.uk, or call 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police.

You can also follow the team on social media, on Facebook, www.facebook.com/ChesterfieldTownCentreSNT, or on Twitter, @ChesterfieldSNT.

Residents can also sign up to Derbyshire Alert to receive free community safety alerts, and messages from their local Safer Neighbourhood policing teams. For more information visit: https://www.derbyshirealert.co.uk/.
