Hasland and St Leonard's residents welcome to meet local officers

Posted on 23rd April 2015

Residents in Hasland and St Leonard’s are being invited to two policing events to meet local officers and pick up crime prevention advice.

PCSO Janet Austin from the area’s Safer Neighbourhood team is hosting a police surgery at the Village Hall, Eastwood Park on Tuesday, May 12 from 10am to 2pm.

She’ll be on hand to chat to local people in a relaxed environment away from the police station and find out about issues affecting their communities.

PCSO Austin is also set to hold a Crime Prevention Event at the same location, on Tuesday, May 19 from 10am to 2pm, where she’ll be able to offer tips for residents to boost their home, vehicle and personal security.

She said: “The upcoming events will be a great opportunity for me to speak to residents and find out about issues that matter most to them. Everyone is welcome to both of the events and I am looking forward to seeing as many local faces there as possible.”

If you are unable to attend the events but would like to speak to your local Safer Neighbourhood policing team, call 101. You can also follow @HaslandSNT on Twitter.
