Drugs awareness evening aimed at parents and guardians in Wirksworth

Parents in Wirksworth and Middleton are invited to attend an upcoming event to help increase their awareness around drugs and young people.

PCSO Sue Lester from the Wirksworth and Middleton Safer Neighbourhood Team will be working alongside partner agencies including local youth workers, Spoda, and T3 throughout the event.

The special information evening is set to take place at the Wirksworth Town Hall on Thursday, November 6 and will run from 7pm.

Parents and community members are being encouraged at attend the information evening which is designed to give them the opportunity to find out more about drugs and their affects.

A guest speaker from Derbyshire Constabulary will also be attending the event to chat to parents about drug related issues and to answer any concerns that they may have.  

The Safer Neighbourhood policing team will be on hand to offer advice and agency displays will also be put in place to offer further information and show the help and support that is available.
