In an emergency always call 999

New police officer takes to the beat in Creswell

Posted on 20th August 2015

Residents in Creswell will be seeing a new face on their policing beat as PC Luke Christian joins the village’s Safer Neighbourhood team.

PC Christian has joined the team following his role as a response officer in Bolsover.

He will work alongside team members PC Phil Harrison and PCSOs Matt Wardle and Jennifer Salmon on the Creswell Safer Neighbourhood Team covering Creswell village, the Fishpond area and the area east of Whitwell.

PC Christian said: “I am eager to meet and get to know the local community to build relationships and work together to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour across the area.

“A priority for the team at the moment is clamping down on nuisance motorbikes and this is something I am looking forward to working on.

“My colleagues and I will be carrying out regular patrols in the Linear Park area to speak to nuisance riders and advise them about the effect that their behaviour has on the local community, and how further action will be taken where necessary.”

Local residents are being encouraged to report any incidents of nuisance behaviour to police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
