Man arrested following police drug warrant in Eckington

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after officers executed a warrant at a property in Eckington.

At around 9.30am on Tuesday, November 4, police carried out a warrant at an address on Market Street, Eckington, and discovered more than 40 suspected cannabis plants and associated equipment inside.

It is believed that the electric meter at the property had also been bypassed and has since been made safe.  

A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was later bailed pending further inquiries.
