Information appeal after a car is damaged with a brick in Tupton

Policing are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was damaged on a layby in Tupton, Chesterfield.

Officers received reports of a man that was believed to be using a brick to cause damage to a vehicle in the area.

The vehicle, a silver coloured Volkswagen Golf, was parked on a layby close to the Royal Oak public house in Tupton when the incident took place.

The offender was described as a white, around 5 foot 8ins tall and wearing a dark coloured jumper.

The incident happened at around 3.15pm on Wednesday, November 19.

Anyone with any information about the incident or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area is asked to contact PC Matt Rodda on 101, quoting crime number 49832/14.
