Police appeal after vandals cause damage at Shirebrook Cemetery

Police in Shirebrook are appealing for information after vandals caused significant damage to a local cemetery.

Offenders caused damage to a war memorial at Shirebrook Cemetery on Common Road, Shirebrook, by tipping over plants and smashing pots in the area. The incident took place sometime between 12noon on Thursday, June 4 and 8am on Friday, June 5.

On the same night, vandals caused significant damage to a number of plots at the cemetery by kicking over headstones and smashing memorial tributes.

Officers are appealing to anyone with any information about the incident to get in touch to help bring those responsible to justice.
