New PCSO takes to the streets of Whitwell

Posted on 5th August 2014

People living in Whitwell will be seeing a new face on the streets as the neighbourhood policing team welcomes a new member.

Phil Levers is the latest Police Community Support Officer to join the Whitwell Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team.

PCSO Levers, who lives in north Derbyshire, was previously a security engineer but also volunteered as a Special Constable for three years in the Killamarsh area.

Since moving to Whitwell, he has been busy getting out on patrol, learning about the area and meeting the local community.

Outside of work Phil enjoys football and supports Chesterfield Football Club.

PCSO Levers said: “I’ve always been interested in a career with the police, and I’m really looking forward to linking in with the local community and hopefully making a difference to any concerns.

“If there are any concerns or issues you think we could help with then please contact us and if you see me out and about in the area, don’t hesitate to stop and say hello.”
