Police issue CCTV stills following sexual assaults in Derby

Posted on 11th May 2015

Police investigating two sexual assaults in Derby have released CCTV stills of a man they would like to speak to.

At around 7.20am on Tuesday, April 21, a 38-year-old woman was walking along London Road in Alvaston when a man riding a bike approached her from behind.

As he passed the woman, he put his hand up her skirt and rode off.

The man was described as Asian, aged between 18 and 22-years-old, with short dark hair and of chubby build. He was believed to have been wearing a red and navy blue coloured sweater and riding a dark coloured mountain bike.

A similar incident took place on Arboretum Street in Derby at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, April 1. A 16-year-old girl was approached by a cyclist who matches the description above and was sexually assaulted by him.

Police have now released CCTV stills of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incidents.

Do you recognise the man in the CCTV stills, or do you have any information about the incidents?

Anyone with information should contact PC Phil Ward at Cotton Lane Police Station on 101, quoting crime number 13440/15, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
