Police appeal for information following nuisance bikes on Alvaston Park

Posted on 30th April 2014

Police are appealing for information in connection with anti-social behaviour taking place in Alvaston neighbourhood.

Officer from Alvaston Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team are receiving reports of nuisance motorcycles being ridden in a dangerous manner around Alvaston Park.

Sgt Simon Hawley who manages the team said: “This mainly happens at weekends throughout the daytime.

“The motorcycles are not displaying registration plates and are being ridden at speed across the football pitches during games and along the pathways through the park.

“This is extremely dangerous for people using the park and clearly illegal.

“We appeal to the community to provide information that will help us identify the individuals committing this type of nuisance behaviour.

“We will take positive action and if necessary seize the bikes if we can identify the people involved.

“We will not tolerate any kind of anti-social behaviour on bikes especially when it is inconsiderate and dangerous and causes concern for the community.”

If you have any information which may assist the identity of these riders or an address where they are being kept please contact Alvaston Policing Team 101 or email: east.neighbourhoods@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk
