Man arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following Ilkeston warrant

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after officers executed a warrant at a property in Ilkeston.

At around 10.30am on Wednesday, June 10, police carried out a warrant at an address on Ladywood Road in Ilkeston.

Whilst inside they discovered a quantity of suspected cannabis plants and associated equipment.

It is believed that the electric meter at the property had been bypassed by the offender which has since been made safe.

A 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the production of class b drugs and abstracting electricity. He has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
