Appeal for information after incident outside Belper pub

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports that a man was run over by a car in Belper.

On Friday, March 6 an altercation took place between two men outside the Hop Inn in Openwoodgate.

One of the men is alleged to have driven his BMW car at the other man, knocking him to the ground.

The victim suffered grazes and was taken to Royal Derby Hospital to be checked over after the incident, which happened at about 7.10pm.

A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police want to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have information that could help the investigation.
