Appeal for witnesses after alleged attempted murder in Glossop

We want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed an alleged assault in Glossop earlier this month.

Officers were called to Sumners Place to reports of an assault in the early hours of February 2.

Aaron Booth, of Crosslands Close, Glossop, was arrested at the scene and was charged with attempted murder.

The 27-year-old appeared at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Monday, February 4, where he was remanded to prison.

Investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, part of which allegedly took place in High Street West, close to the junction of Queen Street between 2.30am and 3am.

Anyone with information, including dashcam footage, is urged to contact us immediately. Any video footage should be downloaded to an external device and stored safely for an officer to view.
