In an emergency always call 999

Operation Phoenix

Operation Phoenix

Derbyshire Constabulary has pledged to keep communities better informed about the work officers are doing to tackle drugs in the county.

Operation Phoenix is our way of bringing you the latest news about how we're targeting drug offences. We'll highlight this work through news articles, video features and via Twitter and Facebook updates and tell you how we work with our partners to help those with drug problems break their addiction.

How you can help

If drugs are being taken or dealt within a community, it often brings associated problems such as burglary and theft as addicts try to fund their habit.

This can cause serious problems within any neighbourhood, affecting the quality of life for the people who live and work there.

We're trying to bring these types of criminals to justice, but we need your help to identify offenders.

If you have information about drug dealing and related crime, call our 24 hour non-emergency 101 number. You can also pass information to us anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org. Remember to always dial 999 in an emergency.

If you need help

Breaking drug addiction can be hard. There are many charities and other non-profit organisations within Derbyshire which can you help through this difficult journey. If you need help with an addiction, see our list of partners who can provide you with free help.
