I have nearly 17 years’ service with Derbyshire Constabulary and have spent the majority of my service in uniform, providing front line services to the residents of Derby City and South Derbyshire. This is a role that I am very passionate about.
During my service I have held many posts including Safer Neighbourhood officer, Missing persons officer and intelligence roles.
I have served as both a PC and Sgt in South Derbyshire but have been based on one of the City response teams since 2017.
In January 2019 I took charge of South Section SNT based at Swadlincote, a team which covers around 320sq miles of South Derbyshire. I am looking forward to speaking to the communities of South Derbyshire and finding out about the issues that affect and matter to you the most. I am very keen to hear from the more rural communities about the issues they face as I understand they can feel isolated. The team already work hard to combact rural crime and I look forward to further enhancing our response to these issues.
Professionally and operationally my main interests are roads policing, targeting organised crime, proactive intelligence-led work and safeguarding our vulnerable people. For me it’s also about targeting those people who choose to adversely affect our communities the most and bringing them to justice.
I look forward to a continuing the great relationship with our partner agencies and we will work together to do what we can to make a safer South Derbyshire.
My message is clear. If you chose to come to South Derbyshire to commit crime or anti-social behavior, we will find you and bring you to justice.
